ENDA UP FOR VOTE SOON!

The Employment Non-Discrimination Act makes it a "hate
crime" to discriminate against homosexuals in renting and hiring
in the workplace in "non-spiritual" positions in churches.
It's scheduled to come out of committee as early as this Thursday.
This very threatening legislation can then be taken to a floor vote
at the discretion of House speaker Nancy Pelosi.

It is vital that you call your member of the House and protest
immediately. Like in the case of the federal hate bill, which passed
the House by a wide margin in May, many Democratic House members
have been dissatisfied with ENDA's special protection for transgenders.
The new bill, HR 3685, has omitted such protection. Your immediate
call could make the difference in persuading wavering Democrats to
abandon support of ENDA entirely.
